CSI Report

An  Inspection is carried out by the Catholic School Inspectorate under the national framework for inspections of Catholic schools and Colleges.  Grays Convent High School is an outstanding Catholic school.

A Catholic school Inspection looks at our:

  • Catholic Life and Mission

  • Religious Education and

  • Collective Worship,

alongside compliance with the general norms for religious education laid down by the Bishops’ Conference, any additional requirements of our Diocesan Bishop in Brentwood diocese, and improvement areas from the last inspection.

The inspection report below is accompanied by a letter from the Chief Inspector of Schools:

Many congratulations to all at Grays Convent High School on your recent Catholic Schools Inspection. Achieving outstanding across Catholic Life and Mission, Religious Education and Collective Worship is a testament to the commitment, care, and witness of the entire community. The report clearly recognises the school as a nurturing and faith-filled environment where Gospel values are lived out, with students and staff alike embodying the charism of La Sainte Union. From the vibrant prayer life and inclusive liturgies to the powerful witness of Catholic social teaching in action, the school’s mission shines through. The dedication of leaders and governors, alongside the passion of the staff and the generosity of spirit shown by students, has created a community that is truly Christ-centred and outward-looking.
